J. J. Merelo was born in Ubeda, Jaén,Spain, on March 10, 1965. Same day as
Fernando el Católico, Sharon Stone, Chuck Norris y Bix
Biederbecke, un trompetista de jazz. That does not
mean he's got nothing to do with any of them.
He got a BSc in Theoretical Phisics from theUniversidad de
Granada in 1989 and a PhD, by the same
University, in
1994. His job now is associate proffessor, attached
to the
Dept. of Computer
Technology and Architecture of the same University.
He has been married, since 1991, with Charo. He has thre daughters, the
fraternal twins Cecilia
and Elena, born in 1998, and Charo jr.,
born in 1999.
Main hobbies are, besides taking care of the children, reading and
listening to music. He mainly reads science fiction
(especially cyberpunk) and hard-boiled crime stories,
Chandler and the like. He likes many different kind of
music, especially 60s, 80s spanish pop, raggamuffin,
ska, hiphop, and some world music.
